Ramnagar: On Thursday, after an elderly man from the nearby Kyari village went missing in the forest, there was panic in the village due to the possibility that he might have been preyed upon by a tiger. Upon receiving the news, the forest department’s search team found bloodstained clothes in the jungle. According to the information, Bhuwan Chandra Belwal (60 years old) from Kyari village had gone to the Dechouri Range of the Ramnagar Forest Division, close to the village, to collect fodder for his livestock on Thursday morning. When the elderly man did not return by evening, worried family members informed the villagers, who then alerted the forest department. Upon receiving the information, the forest department team, with the help of villagers, launched a search operation in the forest for the missing man. During the search, some bloodstained clothes were found in a section of the forest. Due to the darkness setting in, the search operation was halted for the night. The forest department has stated that the search will resume early Friday morning.
