On Thursday, he was on duty as usual. When suddenly information about forest fire was received in the afternoon, he proceeded towards the spot with the team. But this tragic accident happened to them.

Karan died at the age of just 21: Anand Ram, father of Karan Arya, resident of Bhentuli, does farming. While his wife Nirmala Devi helps him in farming work. Anand Ram has two sons. Due to being financially weak, the elder son Karan was dreaming of helping his father by working as a laborer in the forest department for the last three-four months and providing good education to his younger brother Dipanshu. But the cruel hands of time snatched her away from her family at the age of just 21. There is silence in these four villages after this incident on Thursday.

The funeral took place in a sad atmosphere on Friday: The four personnel killed during the accident at Binsar Century were cremated in a sombre atmosphere at the local ghats on Friday. After receiving information about the incident, the crying family members and villagers reached Almora on Thursday night itself. Where after the post-mortem process was done, the bodies were handed over to the relatives. On Friday, the last rites of the four deceased were performed at their local ghats. The people of the area including Forest Department officials bid him last farewell.
