First case registered in Haridwar under the new law

Dehradun: Three new criminal laws have come into effect across the country from today. Under the new law, the first case has been registered in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand.

The first case has been registered in Haridwar today under the new criminal law. CM Dhami said that today is a historic day when the country has got freedom from the laws of the British era. New criminal laws have come into force across the country.

CM said that a budget of Rs 20 crore has also been released to the police for their implementation. The new laws have been made keeping in mind justice and not punishment. A case was registered in Haridwar under the new law. In the case registered, the person told that he was sitting near Ravidas Ghat for some time.

Where two unknown persons came and threatened to kill with a knife and snatched the mobile phone and some cash. They also pushed the person towards Ganga and ran away.
