Khatima MLA Pushkar Singh Dhami Became the 11th Chief Minister of Uttarakhand

After the resignation of Tirath Singh Rawat from the post of CM, the next Chief Minister of the state, Khatima MLA Pushkar Singh Dhami was elected. The names of big political figures of the state were in the race of CM. Veterans like Dhan Singh Rawat, Satpal Maharaj, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Bishun Singh Chufal were leading the race for CM. In such a situation, bypassing all these, BJP has stamped the name of Khatima MLA Pushkar Singh Dhami in the meeting of the Legislature. After which it was decided that Dhami would be the next CM of the state.

In such a situation, let’s take a look at the political journey of Pushkar Singh Dhami, due to which he was selected as the next CM. Pushkar Singh Dhami was born in Tundi village of Pithoragarh. He did his higher education from Lucknow University. Dhami is a post graduate. In business education, he holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. Dhami students at Lucknow University were known for raising problems. He held various positions from 1990 to 1999. The achievement of being the convener and director of the national conference in Lucknow is recorded in his account. Pushkar Singh Dhami was also the State General Secretary during the time of UP. He was born in Tundi, Tehsil Didihat, Gram Sabha of Pithoragarh, a very marginal district of Uttarakhand.Being a soldier’s son, he adopted nationalism, service and patriotism as religion. He took primary education from government schools after living his life due to financial constraints. Being the only son after three sisters, the responsibilities towards the family always remained.Due to efficient leadership ability, struggle and indomitable courage, being the State President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha twice, from 2002 to 2008, for six years continuously traveling from place to place in the entire state, organized many huge rallies and conferences by organizing youth unemployed.

As a result of the struggles, the then state government succeeded in getting 70 percent reservation for the local youth in the industries of the state. In this sequence, in 2005, a historic rally was organized by connecting the youth of the state to gherao the Legislative Assembly. Which is remembered even today as an example in the form of youth power show.
