These police personnel will be on duty from 11 am on 14th January to 11:30 pm on 15th June. The entry of heavy vehicles will be completely closed for two days.
DIG Yogendra Singh Rawat said that the movement of heavy vehicles will be stopped from Friday itself. Whatever vehicles coming and going towards Almora, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar will use the Ramgarh route. A total of more than 1200 officers and police personnel were deployed for diversion and security. For this, help has been sought from Kumaon as well as Police Head Quarters.
He said, there will be 2 Additional SPs, 3 COs, 8 Inspectors, 46 Sub Inspectors, 16 women Sub Inspectors, 343 constables, 50 women constables and 12 traffic police personnel from Nainital district. Whereas from Kumaon range there will be three COs, 12 Inspectors, 72 Sub Inspectors, 300 constables, 100 women constables and 26 traffic police personnel. Apart from this, PHQ has prepared two additional SPs, two COs, two companies and one platoon PAC. DIG said that operation of heavy vehicles will be banned from Friday itself. Only vehicles of essential services will be allowed to move. Said that the police personnel will be deployed in their respective duty points from 11 am on June 14 and will remain on duty at their duty points till 11:30 pm on June 15.
