Now you can know the weather pattern in Uttarakhand before air travel

Dehradun: Due to changes in the weather of Uttarakhand, four helicopters of different heli companies made emergency landing in AIIMS. All these helicopters had flown for the Chardham Yatra. To ensure that such problems do not have to be faced again, an agreement is going to be signed between the Meteorological Center and UCADA.

Operating air services in Uttarakhand amidst the ever-changing weather is no less than a big challenge. In such a situation, there is good news for the pilgrims traveling by heli service to Chardham. Pilgrims will now be able to know the weather patterns before traveling by air.

For this, an agreement is going to be signed between the Meteorological Center and Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA). Under the agreement, equipment will be installed by the Center at those places of Chardham Yatra from where the heli service is being operated.

Yesterday, due to change in the weather of Uttarakhand, four helicopters of different heli companies made emergency landing in AIIMS. All these helicopters had flown for the Chardham Yatra. In such a situation, if there was accurate information about the weather, air travel could have been postponed. To avoid such problems, a letter has been sent to UCDA regarding the agreement by the Meteorological Center.

Due to lack of equipment on the Chardham Yatra route, accurate weather information is not available. In such a situation, a letter has been written by the Meteorological Center to the state government to install equipment at these places. But even after a long time, due to lack of equipment, accurate weather forecast is not possible. However, semi-automatic machines have been installed by the Meteorological Center. But it gets spoiled due to snowfall during Chardham Yatra.

There is a plan to install equipment in collaboration with UCADA to get accurate weather information for operating the heli service. A letter has been sent to UCADA in this regard. As far as the equipment in Chardham is concerned, a letter has been sent to the state government in this regard also.
