President of the student union at Ramnagar College was attacked.

Ramnagar (Nainital), 17 Dec 2023: The student union president of Ramnagar College was beaten up by outside youth. Due to the intervention of other students, the accused students left the college. After receiving the complaint, the police has started investigating the case.

Student Union President Lalit Kadakoti alleged in the complaint submitted to the police that at 1 o’clock on Friday afternoon, some youth from outside arrived with sharp weapons to kill Rohit Negi, a student of the college campus. The youth got angry at my attempt to explain. After this he beat me also.

The accused students left when other students arrived. Told that outside youths have been roaming in the college for two days. Angered by the incident, a delegation of students reached the police station and lodged a complaint with SSI Manoj Nayal demanding action. Kotwal Arun Kumar Saini said that the matter is being investigated. On this occasion, Student Union Secretary Chetan Pant, Sumit Lohani, Chetan Kadakoti, Vijay Dani etc. were present.
