The country’s renowned industrial house Tata Group is going to build an Electronic City in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Tata Group will build this city in collaboration with Taiwanese companies. 350 acres of land has been reserved for the group in Khurpiya Farm in the district. On the other hand, after the start of this project, doors of employment can also open for more than 10 thousand youth.
Group officials have inspected the Khurpiya farm and next year in January 2025, representatives of Taiwanese companies will also come to Uttarakhand. Secretary Planning R Meenakshi Sundaram has confirmed this. Let us tell you that last year in the Global Investors Conference, Tata Group had proposed to build an electronic city in Uttarakhand. The group has also started working in this direction.
Tata Group has appointed Rahul Jain as the nodal officer for its project in Uttarakhand. Agreement on setting up skill development center also
Along with the Electronic City, the Tata Group has also agreed to set up a skill development center in the state. The state government had made this request to the group. At the centre, the youth of the state will be trained as per the demand of electronic city and industry. Youth studying in electronics related fields can take training here. Discussions are also being held with the Singapore government to start skill development programs in the state.
There is a possibility of employment for more than 10 thousand people.
It is estimated that more than 10 thousand people will get direct employment in the land on which Tata Group plans to build Electronic City in the state. The group also agrees to set up a skill development centre. New employment opportunities will be created in Electronic City for the youth trained in this centre.
Tata Group is ready to develop Electronic City in Udham Singh Nagar. This process is now in the final stages. In January next year, teams from Tata’s associate Taiwan companies will also come to visit Uttarakhand. Becoming an electronic city will open new employment opportunities in the state.
