All three pilgrims died of heart attacks. So far, seven pilgrims have died during the pilgrimage to Badrinath Dham.
In the last two days, three pilgrims have died due to heart attack in Badrinath Dham. On Monday, a pilgrim from Madhya Pradesh going to Badrinath died due to deteriorating health at the yatra stop. Earlier on Sunday late evening, two pilgrims from Delhi and Madhya Pradesh had died.
According to the information, Delhi resident Amit Sharma (44), who had come on a pilgrimage to Badrinath Dham late on Sunday evening, suddenly felt severe chest pain. The family took him to the government hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Madhya Pradesh resident Ramesh Rathore (60), who reached the Dham on Sunday itself, died of a heart attack.
At around 2 pm on Monday afternoon, Krishnabai (63), a resident of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh, who was going to Badrinath Dham with her family, suddenly fell ill in the vehicle near Gauchar. The family took him to Gauchar Primary Health Center for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
CMO Dr. Rajiv Sharma said that all the pilgrims died due to heart attack. CMO said that seven pilgrims coming on the pilgrimage to Badrinath Dham have died so far.
