Tractor crashes into the Kosi River, killing the driver

Nainital, 9 March 2024: The driver died after his tractor fell into the Kosi river on Friday night at Khairna Ranikhet State Highway in Garampani. As soon as the news of the accident was received on Saturday, the young man was taken to CHC Garampani with the help of Revenue Police and the doctor declared him dead. After filling the Panchnama, the body was sent to Ranikhet for post-mortem.

Dheeraj Singh Negi (34), resident of Ida, Barakham Dwarahat Bhujan, who was going from Haldwani towards Dwarahat after purchasing a new tractor, lost control and fell into the Kosi river. In the accident, the driver remained unconscious on the road. When Dheeraj had his last conversation with his family at 8.30 pm on Friday night, he said that he was currently in Khairna. On receiving news of the accident on Saturday morning, the Revenue Police reached the spot. The police took Dheeraj to CHC Garampani, where the doctor declared him dead.

Patwari Pankaj Fartyal, Kundan Lal, Kuber Singh Mehra said that the family members have been informed about the incident. After filling the Panchnama, the body is being sent to Ranikhet for post-mortem.
