Valley of Flowers: You can visit the Valley of Flowers for 15 more days, so far 19,000 tourists have seen the beautiful sight
Chamoli: The World Heritage Valley of Flowers will now be closed for tourists on October 31, 15 days later. So far this year, 19,425 tourists have reached the valley. The record of the highest number of tourists reaching the valley so far is of 2022, when 20830 tourists arrived here.
Valley of Flowers is opened for tourists every year on 1st June and closed on 31st October. Tourists come here to see natural beauty and flowers. Most flowers bloom in the valley in the months of July and August. Most tourists also reach here during this time. This time 327 foreign tourists have also reached the valley. After the doors of Hemkund Sahib are closed, the movement of tourists in Valley of Flowers also decreases.
Forest Officer Chetna Kandpal of Valley of Flowers said that the number of tourists has increased as compared to last year. So far 19,425 tourists have reached the valley and the department has received an income of Rs 31 lakh 73 thousand 400. The number of tourists will increase further by 31 October.
Number increased compared to last year
The number of tourists in the valley has increased a lot this year compared to last year. Last year till now only 13161 tourists had come to the valley which included 401 foreign tourists. Whereas this year till now more than 19 thousand tourists have reached here. There is still two weeks left for movement in the valley.
