Uttarakhand, 29 March 2024: With the aim of increasing the participation of women in the field of adventure tourism, this women’s boat course is being conducted in the river Ganga.
Now women will also make a career by playing with the dangers of water. The Tourism Department has started the Nari Nauka course for the first time from March 26, which will be completed on March 30. This training is being given to 14 women in the Women White Water River Rafting Guide Training Camp.
Secretary Tourism Sachin Kurve said, this women boat course is being conducted in the river Ganga with the aim of increasing the participation of women in the field of adventure tourism. Told that in the first phase of Nari Nauka course, 14 women are being given free training. After this, they will also be given an internship of three months through registered firms working in the commercial river rafting sector.
Kurve said, the five-day training has started from Devprayag, which will conclude in Rishikesh on 30th. Foreign female instructors are teaching these women all the tricks related to rafting operations. In this, special care is also being taken for the safety of the participants.
