Devotees should be sent according to the number of devotees determined in the four Dhams. The Chief Minister also directed the issue advisories for tour operators.

Offline registration for Chardham Yatra will be banned till May 31. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave instructions to postpone offline registration in the review meeting on Monday. CM said that devotees should be sent to the four Dhams according to the prescribed number. It was suggested to motivate the devotees who have entered the border of Uttarakhand without registration to visit other religious, mythological and tourist places of the state. It should be made clear to them that they will be sent for darshan to the four Dhams only in prescribed numbers and as per the prescribed standards.

In the meeting held at the Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Minister instructed the Garhwal Commissioner and IG to prepare a diversion plan. Along with taking special care of crowd management for the Chardham Yatra, it should be ensured that the number of devotees in the four Dhams is determined according to the number of devotees. The Chief Minister also directed to issue advisories for tour operators. He said that tour operators should be instructed to bring devotees for Char Dham Yatra only after coordinating with the Tourism Department.

Analysis report sought from Additional Chief Secretary within 10 days
The Chief Minister said that the shortcomings and problems that have emerged in the management and arrangements of Chardham Yatra in the last 10 days should be analyzed. He instructed Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan to give a 10-day analysis and report on solutions to the problems. The report should also mention the commendable work done during the travel management.

Nodal officers should remain continuously in the field
CM said that the government and police officers who have been given the responsibility as nodal officers in Kedarnath and Yamunotri should remain in the field continuously and cooperate with the District Magistrate and the police in the arrangements. Maintain availability of adequate doctors and medicines on travel routes. He stressed that all the departments related to Chardham Yatra should remain on alert mode 24 hours.

CM tightened the officers on the problem of water and electricity
In the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed concern over reports of drinking water crisis and power cuts in various areas of the state and scolded the concerned officials. He instructed the officials of the drinking water department to ensure adequate supply of drinking water. Where there is shortage of drinking water, arrangements for drinking water should be made through tankers and other means. In hilly areas, overhead tanks should be built away from the original water sources. Senior officers should go to the field and see the drinking water arrangements. During the review of electricity supply, the CM gave strict instructions to ensure adequate electricity supply to the people.

Save water sources while building roads
The Chief Minister directed the officials to pay special attention to the conservation of water sources in the alignment of road construction. Water sources should not be damaged while building the road.
