On Tuesday, 79 infected patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals of the state died. While 4785 new patients were found. 7019 patients across the state were discharged from hospitals after recovery. On May 2, 71 patients died of corona in the state. Tuesday’s figure is the lowest since then. Less than a hundred deaths were last reported on May 4 in the state. Around 38 thousand samples were tested in the state on Tuesday. In which the report of more than 33 thousand samples came negative. 17 thousand samples are yet to be investigated. While more than 22 thousand samples have been sent for investigation. After the recovery of a lot of patients on Tuesday, the number of active patients declined and now this number has been close to 76 thousand.Since then, the death toll has now come down to a hundred.
According to data released by the Health Department, on Tuesday, 17 patients died in Doon Medical College, 11 in Haldwani Medical College, eight in Himalayan Hospital, seven in Base Hospital Srinagar, six in Max Hospital, five in AIIMS Rishikesh. Apart from this, many hospitals succumbed to the infected patients. On Thursday, Himalayan Hospital also sent the details of the 19 patients who had died earlier to the State Control Room.With this, the total number of deaths on Tuesday and old has reached a total of 5132.
