The minimum temperature here recorded a drop of 10.4 degree Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature here is 26.5 degree Celsius.
Katra, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, recorded a maximum day temperature of 22.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius. In Kashmir, the minimum night temperature in almost all the districts has dipped below zero. Due to the severe cold, life has started getting affected. It is getting difficult to go out at night. The day temperature is also below 20 degrees.
Winter has also increased in Jammu division. There is no respite from the cold even in Leh and Kargil. Here the day temperature is running below ten degrees in both the places. According to the Meteorological Center Srinagar, the weather will remain clear in the coming days, but winter will also increase.
The night minimum temperature in all the districts of the Valley is running 2 to 3 degrees below normal. The weather remained clear throughout the day in Jammu, but the feeling of coolness has increased.
