Dengue fever is now spreading across the Uttarakhand state as such 13 health departments of the state are going to start a special campaign to monitor it. A special campaign will run in five districts of dengue prone state, and 13 departments will jointly monitor. The Health Minister has instructed the Health Department to be on alert regarding dengue control and prevention.

A special campaign for prevention and awareness will be launched in five classified districts that are dengue-prone regions. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat gave strict instructions that negligence will not be tolerated at any level in dengue prevention. At the same time, 13 line departments will also monitor dengue.
The health department has been instructed to be on alert. All the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers were asked to take effective steps to control dengue at the district level. The officials were instructed that no laxity will be tolerated in the control and prevention campaign of dengue.
The state government has Instructed to run a special campaign for public awareness and rescue dengue cases in the plains of Udham Singh Nagar, Pauri, and Nainital. Dengue on a large scale across the state in association with Urban Development, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj Department, Transport Department, Irrigation Department, Water Supply Department, Agriculture Department, Tourism Department, Disaster Management, Meteorological Department, Women Empowerment and Child Development Department, Education, and Information Department The control was also instructed to conduct public awareness campaign and its continuous monitoring. Further Instructions have been made to run a special campaign for public awareness and rescue in the plains of Pauri and Nainital.
Soon a high-level meeting will be held with the line departments. The free dengue test facility is available in state hospitals. For proper treatment of dengue patients, 1466 dengue isolation beds have been reserved in medical units across the state, which can be increased if required. Apart from this, the availability of platelets in blood banks has also been ensured for serious dengue patients.
