As per the sources, 112 new medical colleges will be included in the list of medical colleges from this upcoming new session. Luckily More than 1.08 lakh students will take admission in MBBS. It will surely addon the national harmony.
New Delhi: This year 112 new institutions have been included in the list of medical colleges. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given permission for admission to MBBS seats in these new colleges from the same academic session 2024-25. It is being told that this year students will be given admission on 1.08 lakh plus MBBS seats.
The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of NMC recently invited applications for new medical colleges and increase in MBBS seats.
After separate meetings, the board took the decision to allow 112 new medical colleges to take admission on MBBS seats. Besides, it has also been decided to increase MBBS seats in 58 medical colleges. After the decision of the board, NMC has provided this information to all the colleges through email.
UP has the maximum number of new colleges. A senior member of the board said that recently UGMEB Notification 2023 was issued regarding the establishment of new medical colleges. Under this, applications were invited from institutions on August 18 last year. Apart from new medical colleges, it also included increase in seats. Among the new medical colleges which have been approved for admission to MBBS course, maximum 18 are established in Uttar Pradesh. These include both government and private medical colleges.
