Tiffin bomb blast in Ferozpur , one died . The other escaped the scene and both were allegedly under the suspicion of BFS G Branch.
A tiffin bomb blast is being expressed in Jalalabad, Punjab. After the explosion, the sound of the blast was heard for about one and a half kilometer distance. After the blast, the bike rider Balwinder Singh, a resident of the marginal village of Nihang’s slum, district Ferozepur, jumped about 15 feet and fell on the ground, which has died in the Faridkot Medical College.
Police have found one more bike from the crime scene, which is actually of Balwinder, the bike on which Balwinder was riding, the bike belonged to his aunt’s son Sukha Singh, resident of marginal village Chandiwala, district Firozpur, after the blast who ran away. On Thursday morning at 11 am, Fazilka police raided Chandiwala and gathered detailed information regarding Sukha. Experts say that Balwinder and Sukha were allegedly under the watch of BSF G Branch. Both live in villages adjoining the border and their activities were suspicious.
According to intelligence sources, many smugglers living in villages adjacent to the Indo-Pak Hussainiwala border have chosen the border area adjacent to Jalalabad, which is safe for smuggling. Many times consignments of heroin and arms have been brought from here, on the spot of the caught smugglers, the police have also recovered a consignment of heroin from the outskirts of Jalalabad area.
Police is probing Balwinder and Sukha in connection with the same smuggling. A few days ago, the Jalalabad police had registered a case against three smugglers, including Dilmohandeep Singh, a resident of Firozpur’s Marginal Vakilwali Basti and also said that these people smuggle heroin and weapons from the outskirts of Jalalabad. Recently, hand grenades have been thrown from the Pakistani side in Tarn Taran, Amritsar and Gurdaspur areas through drones. This is the second incident of blast in Punjab in almost a month. Earlier on August 8, there was a blast in an oil tanker at Ajnala in Amritsar district.
On the other hand, several officials including IG Ferozepur Jatinder Singh Aulakh also visited the spot. Fazilka SSP Deepak Hillori says that it is too early to say anything in this regard. Security agencies are closely probing the matter. Security agencies have become active in the village of the deceased Balwinder. The police is also probing on this aspect whether Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is conducting terrorist activities through the said smugglers. At the same time, apart from NIA, CID and Army Intelligence are also engaged in gathering inputs.
Security agencies have started probing the call details of Balwinder’s mobile found from the blast site. The people with whom Balwinder has spoken to, those people will also be questioned. The details of the conversation through WhatsApp are also being extracted. Police are on the lookout for Sukha.
Sukha is absconding from the crime scene after the blast. With Sukha absconding, it is suspected that the blast was caused by some explosive material. Sukha’s escape from there creates the possibility of a tiffin bomb. Security agencies are also watching this blast by linking it to the tiffin bomb. The forensic team from Mohali has also collected many evidences from the spot.
