From Last two days, whole nation is mourning on the demise of pregnant mother elephant. The news suddenly shook the whole nation especially animal lovers. Honorable MP Maneka Gandhi felt sad for it and angry on culprits. She targeted Malappuram people for the death of a pregnant elephant in Kerala after she ate cracker-stuffed pineapple allegedly given by a local. She labeled it as “murder” and said Malappuram was the “most violent district” in the country and targeted Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayanand said “It’s murder, Malappuram is famous for such incidents, it’s India’s most violent district, for instance, they throw poison on roads so that 300-400 birds and dogs die at one time”. While the CM said the reports are misleading because the elephant was roaming in Palakkad.
After this people wanted justice for the creature. Bollywood and other public figures initiated a campagin “#PunishElephantKillers”. BJP leaders, Bollywood figures like Sonu Sood, Kapil Sharma demanded justice for it.
