Yoga Guru has been challenged by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Uttarakhand for a debate. They asked the name of allopathic hospitals giving Patanjali medicines for treatment.

Prior, IMA Uttarakhand sent a notice of Rs. 1,000 crores defamation to Ramdev for his recent statements on allopathy doctors and medicine and now they challenged Yoga Guru for a debate.

On Friday, IMA National Chief Dr. J.A.Jayalal said that if Ramdev will withdrew his remarks against Covid-19 vaccines and modern medicines then he will consider taking back police complaints lodged against Ramdev and also a defamation notice sent to him.

He further added that by targeting the modern system of medicine regarding the pandemic and treatment for it, Ramdev was actually questioning the government.
Dr Jayalal further said that the IMA has nothing against the yoga guru, though his statements saying they are against vaccination for Covid-19.

Dr Jayalal said, “We think his statements could confuse people, may divert them. This is our big concern as he has many followers.”

After Ramdev’s remarks against modern medicines and its practitioners, he received defamation notice in which an apology with in 15 days was demanded and if he will not apologize then he have to pay compensation for Rs.1,000 crore.

In Delhi and other places several complaints have been filed against Ramdev and the IMA chief has also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against Ramdev.

Ramdev’s statement that lakhs had died after taking allopathic medicines for Covid-19, the scientific community is reacting.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan also condemned his statements calling it “extremely unfortunate”, saying it disrespects “corona warriors” and can break the morale of healthcare workers.

After the yoga guru was forced to withdraw his statement, the Health Minister called it laudable saying it shows his maturity.
