Udham Singh Nagar (Rudrapur), 23 Dec 2023: Transit Camp Police and ANTF have arrested a joint smack smuggler woman and her brother. Both of them used to bring smack from Bareilly district and sell it to drug addicts. Police have registered a case against both of them under NDPS Act.
Late on Thursday night, police and ANTF arrested Uma Vishwas, resident of Thakurnagar Ward 10 and Vijay Mistry, resident of village Samrer police station, Dataganj district Badaun, from Bagan Field in Thakurnagar. 40.10 grams of smack, a mobile and Rs 2500 were recovered from Uma. 10.15 grams of smack, a mobile and Rs 600 were recovered from Vijay Mistry.
Both of them told that they are brother and sister and they buy the recovered smack from a person resident of Baheri Bareilly at a cheap price and sell it at a higher price to the people in the transit camp and Rudrapur. The police presented both of them in the court from where they were sent to jail.
