Udham Singh Nagar: Thieves have committed a major incident in Kashipur, Uttarakhand. An inter-state gang is being said to be involved in the case of miscreants uprooting an ATM full of notes near the main branch of SBI in Kashipur city.
According to the police, ATMs have been uprooted so far at more than eight places including Kashipur, Haryana, Rajasthan, Mathura and Roorkee. It is suspected that the same gang is involved in these.
In the matter of taking away the ATM full of State Bank of India notes on Ramnagar Road, the police is claiming to be making every possible effort to get to the bottom of this incident. Prima facie the police were suspecting that the same inter-state gang was behind this incident which had earlier carried out incidents of uprooting ATM machines in Roorkee, Mathura in UP, Haryana and Rajasthan. Looking at the police’s homework so far, it seems that the police’s apprehensions are correct.
According to police sources, in the last two months, incidents of uprooting of ATMs have taken place at about eight to ten places in North India. Till now, the police have scanned more than 100 CCTV cameras installed on various routes leading from the incident site. Four teams formed by the police have been sent to different places. Police hope that the incident will be revealed soon. SP Abhay Pratap Singh said that a police team has reached the robbers. It is expected that the culprits will be caught by the police by tomorrow.
