Rishikesh, 07 Feb 2024: Regarding various demands, the officials of the student union on Monday met the Principal of Veer Shaheed Kesarichand Government Post Graduate College, Dakpathar, Prof. Memorandum submitted to GIA Semwal. Student Union President Ashish Bisht said that appointments should be made to the vacant posts of professors in the college. The Principal assured to convey the demands to the government.
The subjects of Geography, Fine Arts, Sociology, Philosophy, Military Science, and Computer Science in the Science Faculty should be opened in the Faculty of Graduate Arts. There is no subject of Education, Sanskrit, Anthropology, or Economics in Post Graduate Arts Faculty and Botany and Zoology in Science Faculty. For this reason, students have to go to Dehradun to study these subjects. He demanded to increase sections in all three faculties. Said that B.Ed should be declared government instead of self-financed. He said that if the problems are not resolved within a week, the college will be locked.
