” The Government of Odisha and Nagaland has announced to reopen the schools for the students of class 9 to 12 from July 26″
The Higher Authorities of Nagaland allowed higher-secondary schools and colleges to reopen from July 26.
However, with the ease in the restrictions through the third phase of ‘unlocking’. As per the Government spokesperson Neiba Kronu, the third phase of ‘unlocking’ would start on July 18 and continue till August 1.
Moreover, In this third phase of unlocking, The higher-secondary schools and colleges will be allowed to start physical mode classes from July 26. However, As per the minister, All the teaching and non-teaching staff have to be vaccinated with at least the first dose or provide COVID- negative report every 15 days. However, no such rules and regulations has been announced for the students.
Additionally, The minister added, If any school and college willing to reopen have to take the approval of the respective DTFs.
•The government of Odisha has decided to reopen schools for Classes 10 and 12 students from July 26. Moreover, As per the Principal Secretary, Department of School and Mass Education : Satyabrata Sahu, The decision of reopening of schools will be applicable for both government and private schools.
As, Mr Sahu claimed that due to the poor internet connectivity in many parts of the state only 40 per cent of the students were able to take benefit of the online teaching, while 60 per cent were not benefited properly.
As per the sources, Before reopening of the schools, the government has decided to vaccinate all teachers against COVID-19 on priority and district education officers have been instructed to ensure that COVID guidelines are followed.
Mr. Sahu also informed that the Offline Matric Examination for the students, who are not satisfied with the marks awarded to them by the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation process, will be conducted between July 30 to August 5. As many as 2,244 students have applied to appear in exams. The result will be declared by August 22.
