Haridwar : Shyampur police rescued four youths trapped in Ganga river (Yellow river) in Laldhang of Haridwar. At around 6:00 am on Sunday morning, information was received that the construction work of the bridge of National Highways Authority of India is going on in Pili Nadi Pul Thana Shyampur. In which four workers slept on an island in the middle of the river at night. But due to sudden rain at night, the water level of the river rose. So the workers got stuck.
On information, Shyampur police station chief Anil Chouhan immediately rushed to the spot of Muay Force and SDRF and control room were also apprised of the situation. Sarjeet Khan son Shabbir Khan resident Khatola Bareilly Uttar Pradesh, Salman son Akhtar Khan resident Nagaria Bareilly, Feroze son Mausam Khan resident Khatola Bareilly and Shoaib son Hasnain resident Nagaria Bareilly Uttar Pradesh by calling the crane of NHAI due to lack of time and continuous rising water level. All the workers were safely evacuated from the river.

Shyampur police station chief Anil Chouhan said that officials and workers of the National Highways Authority of India have also been told that no one should go into the river during the rainy season and stay away from the river at night.
An announcement has also been made in all the villages along the river that no one should cross the river and those who have houses and slums near the river should also stay away from the river and be vigilant. Roads in Haridwar city have also turned into ponds.
According to the meteorological department, heavy rain is expected in Doon on Sunday as well as thundershowers at some places. Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are likely in most parts of Uttarakhand.
Heavy rains are expected in some areas of Kumaon. However, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Dehradun and Pauri districts. This can reduce the temperature.
