During this pandemic, the production content was comparatively less due to restrictions in shooting. So the viewers switched to OTT platforms for recreation. So I would like to shed light on some of the best Hindi webseries of the year 2020 -2021.

1. SCAM 1992 :- It streams on Sony Liv app. Scam 1992 series is based on Harshad Mehta’s Securities scam that takes you completely into the world of share market. It stars Kay Kay Menon as Himmat Singh, a member of Research and Analysis Wing, forms a team of five agents, in order to track down a person, who is the mastermind of the terror attacks which took place in India.
3. PAATAL LOK:- Jaideep Ahlawat crime drama thriller web series streams on Amazon prime video. Moreover, it based on Tarun Tejpal’s 2010 novel The Story of My Assassins, the series is about a disillusioned cop who lands the case of an assassination attempt gone wrong.
4. ASUR:- The Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti and Amey Wagh crime thriller web series streams on Voot.

5. PANCHAYAT:- It is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama web television series created by The Viral Fever for the Amazon Prime Video. It starred Jeetendra Kumar and another strong casting includes Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Biswapati Sarkar .This series is on the life of engineering graduate who joins as a Panchayat secretary in a remote village Phulera of Uttar Pradesh due to lack of better job options.
6. BOMBAY BEGUMS:- A series starred Pooja Bhatt, Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur, among others streams on Netflix is by Alankrita Shrivastava. This series tells story of various women, of different ages, sexual orientations, professions, as they navigate their way through life. The nuanced storytelling of the series was a significant character study as it presented some layered female characters and tied together their story in a magnificent way.
