After Bihar, now NEET paper leak links to Maharashtra, 2 teachers taken into custody

Maharashtra: The NEET-UG paper leak case is in the headlines these days. Bihar Police has arrested some people in this case. Now the connection of NEET paper leak has been found in Maharashtra as well. Police have questioned two teachers in the paper leak case. The teachers who have been questioned were arrested by Nanded’s anti-terrorist squad on the basis of suspicion.

The police suspect that both these teachers may be involved in the NEET paper leak case. Both teach in Zilla Parishad schools of Maharashtra. Both also run private coaching centers in Latur. The police questioned both of them for several hours and then let them go. The police have also directed both of them to appear for questioning again if needed. There is a ruckus going on in the country these days regarding NEET and UGC NET examinations and investigations are being conducted by the central and state governments. Actually, there is a suspicion of paper leak in the NEET exam. At the same time, the government has canceled the UGC NET exam. The government says that the UGC NET paper was leaked on the darknet, due to which an order to cancel the exam was issued the very next day of the exam.

After complaints of irregularities, the central government has changed the head of NTA, the agency that conducts many important examinations including NEET and UGC NET. Also, a panel has been formed, which will investigate the irregularities in the NEET exam. About 24 lakh students appeared in the NEET UG exam held on May 5, but as soon as the results were declared on June 4 and it was revealed that more than 1500 students were given grace marks, the matter reached the court. After this, NTA decided to remove the grace marks given to the students and conduct the exam again. Today, NEET UG exam is being conducted again for these more than 1500 students. Along with this, the hearing on the alleged paper leak case of NEET is also going on in the Supreme Court.

The opposition and social organizations are alleging that the NEET UG paper was leaked and are demanding a high-level investigation into the matter. In such a situation, the central government has handed over the investigation of the NEET paper leak case to the CBI. Bihar Police has arrested four people in this case, who admitted during interrogation that the paper was leaked a day before the exam. The police is now also interrogating the people of the solver gang.
