Bomb Threats: Bomb threats on 22 planes, Air India flight from Delhi to Chicago diverted towards Canada.
A post through X threatened to bomb 22 different flights. After this, there was panic among the passengers and airline staff. Security agencies became alert after receiving the information. On Tuesday, a bomb threat was given to 22 planes through a social media post. It was said that there was a bomb in Air India’s flight going from Delhi to Chicago. After this, the flight was diverted to Canada, where the flight will be investigated.
According to the officials, all the threats turned out to be fake. Bomb threats were given to 22 different flights in five hours through a post on X. After this, there was panic among the passengers and airline staff. After receiving the threat, security agencies became alert.
Bomb threat was given to Air India Express’ Jaipur-Bangalore via Ayodhya flight (IX765). This plane was landed at Ayodhya and checked. Apart from this, bomb threats were also received in SpiceJet’s Darbhanga-Mumbai flight (SG116) and Akasa’s Siliguri-Bangalore flight (QP 1373). Both these planes had landed by the time the information was received. Both the planes were checked by security agencies and police force at the airport.
Apart from this, a bomb threat was also given on Air India flight AI 127 from Delhi to Chicago. This flight had already left for Chicago. On receiving the information, the plane was diverted to Iqaluit Airport in Canada. Here the flight was checked.
According to Air India, security checks of the aircraft and the passengers are being done again. Security agencies have been alerted at the airport. As soon as the service resumes, the passengers will be helped. Officials said that there has been a information about a bomb in the flight.
At the same time, IndiGo flight 6E 98 going from Dammam to Lucknow also received a bomb threat. Upon receiving the information, the flight was landed at Jaipur airport. An IndiGo spokesperson said that the safety of passengers and crew is our top priority. We are working closely with the concerned authorities and taking all necessary precautions as per the guidelines. The aircraft has been sent to isolation at Jaipur airport.
Along with this, bomb threat was also received in Alliance Air Line’s Amritsar Dehradun Delhi flight (9I 650). Alliance Air official said that all precautionary measures are being taken in Amritsar-Dehradun-Delhi flight. Security check of the aircraft is being done at Dehradun airport On the other hand, the officials were alerted on the information of bomb in Air India Express’ Madurai-Singapore flight (IX 684). It is said that the Madurai-Singapore flight is awaiting approval from Singapore authorities for landing.
The suspicious X handle tagged the concerned airlines and some police handles and claimed that bombs were placed in these planes. It is said that on Monday, a bomb threat was received on the Air India flight going from Mumbai to New York. It was diverted to Delhi. Nothing suspicious was found during the security check here.
