Maharashtra has seen a flood of increasing corona cases in March and yet 2 days are left. 5 lakh 90 thousand 448 cases have been registered till date in Maharashtra. The figure is expected to reach to six lakh in the ongoing situation. In early 2021, Maharashtra saw a major decline in corona cases which can ganged by the fact that from November 2020 to February 2021, 4 lakh 87 thousand 519 cases were registered. However the new wave of corona made the situation more serious.
31,643 new corona cases were reported in Maharashtra and 102 people died. The total number of active cases has now increased to 27 lakh 45 thousand 518 out of which 54,283 people died till date.
On the other hand COVID task force has recommended a lockdown in the state to prevent corona. CM Uddhav Thackeray gave out a strong message that COVID rules are not being followed. Hence, the lockdown may have to be imposed.
