Jai Hindu Rashtra, Jai Bharat, Jai Bhim, Jai Palestine… slogans created ruckus in Parliament

New Delhi: In the Parliament session on Tuesday, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected MPs was held in the Lok Sabha. MPs from various political parties took oath of their posts.

Meanwhile, BJP MP from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar said “Jai Hindu Rashtra, Jai Bharat” after taking oath. After this there was an uproar in the Parliament. Opposition leaders objected to his oath. The opposition said that such a thing cannot be said after taking oath of the Constitution, it is against the Constitution.

There was a huge uproar in Parliament over the oath of Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi. He said “Jai Palestine” after his swearing-in. AIMIM chief and MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi said “Jai Bhim, Jai Mim, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine….” after taking oath in Parliament on Tuesday. MP Shobha Karandlaje raised questions on this. After this, other members in Parliament also objected to saying Jai Palestine. Seeing the controversy growing, Presiding Officer Radha Mohan Singh ordered it to be removed from the record. When the presiding officer called the name of Asaduddin Owaisi to take the oath, slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai were raised in the House. Along with this, some MPs raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram. Meanwhile, when Owaisi reached the dias to take oath, he first raised the slogan of Jai Bhim. After this, he took oath in Urdu. After this, he said Jai Bhim, Jai Mim, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine.

Both Rahul and Akhilesh came to the podium in the Lok Sabha and took the oath of office and secrecy with the Constitution. After taking the oath, Rahul Gandhi raised the slogan of Jai Hind and Jai Samvidhaan. Shortly after this, Akhilesh Yadav also came to the podium to take oath with a blue colored copy of the Constitution.
