NIA reached Reasi to investigate the terrorist attack
Jammu-Kashmir: The NIA will investigate the terrorist attack on a bus full of devotees in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reached Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir to assist the police and assess the ground situation. The forensic team of the NIA is also trying to help in collecting evidence from the ground level.
On the other hand, a search operation is being carried out by the Indian Army in Reasi. Drones are being used to search the forest area. On Sunday evening, a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi was attacked by terrorists, in which nine devotees, including an innocent child, lost their lives, while many are seriously injured.
On the Reasi terror attack, SSP Mohita Sharma said, “Yesterday evening at around six o’clock, a passenger bus was going towards Reasi after darshan from Shivkhodi. During this, the terrorists opened fire. Nine people have died in the attack and 33 people have been injured who are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The search operation is going on in the area.
Just 20 days before the start of Amarnath Yatra, the bus carrying pilgrims returning from the famous Shiv Dham Shivkhodi in Reasi district fell into a deep ditch after terrorists ambushed it. In this incident, nine passengers including a child died, while 33 were injured. All the dead and injured pilgrims are said to be from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan. 6-7 pilgrims have been shot in the incident. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical. The incident is said to have taken place on Sunday evening at around 6:15 pm. SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma has confirmed that nine pilgrims were killed and 33 were injured. It is known that Amarnath Yatra is to start from 29th June.
It is said that the bus full of pilgrims (JK 02 AE 3485) was returning from Shivkhodi to Katra. There were 42 passengers in the bus. The bus had gone to Shivkhodi in the morning with all the passengers. While returning after the darshan, the terrorists who were already lying in ambush near Chandi Mor in Kanda Trayath area between Pouni and Shivkhodi opened fire in front of the bus. Due to the sudden firing, the driver lost balance and the bus fell into a ditch about 200 feet deep. While the bus was falling, other terrorists present there fired bullets from behind.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the local people and the administrative team reached the spot and started the rescue work. The injured were taken out of the deep ditch and taken to the hospital. After the bus fell into the ditch, the bodies of many people were lying on the spot. Some bodies were also seen stuck on the trees. Due to it being a forest area, there was difficulty in carrying out the rescue work. After a lot of hard work, the injured were taken out. Police officers also reached the spot from Reasi. The injured were taken to PHC Pouni and Triyath. After giving first aid to all the injured in Pouni, they were referred to the District Hospital Reasi. Apart from this, some injured were also brought to Health Center Bharkh.
