The PM said that I am happy that PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is also getting tremendous success in Banaras. Around 40,000 people here have installed solar panels in more than 2100 houses of Banaras under this scheme. Currently, the work of installing solar panels is going on in more than three thousand houses, most of them have got double benefit. Their electricity bill has become zero. They have also started earning two-three thousand rupees. The connectivity work done in Banaras city and surrounding villages in the last 10 years has also helped a lot.
