Rishikesh, 26 March 2024: Ganga Aarti organised by Parmarth Niketan at Ganga Ghat has been listed in the World Book of Records London (UK). Ganga Aarti has been listed and awarded as a 30-minute nonstop daily captivating Aarti.
Parmarth Niketan was informed about this by Santosh Shukla, President and CEO of World Book of Records. The certificate of listing in the World Book of Records and the award were given to Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati at the ashram by WBR officials Abhishek Kaushik and Priya Sharma.
Parmarth Niketan President Swami Chidanand Saraswati said that Ganga Aarti, started in the year 1997, has been taking place daily for 28 years. It holds an excellent place not only in India but also on the world map. Maa Ganga’s Aarti crosses the boundaries of nation, language and cultures and reaches the heart directly and takes that joy to heaven.
He said, Aarti gives the message that Ganga is not just a river but a mother. Ganga Aarti held at the Ghat is a daily ritual of offering emotions along with worship of Ganga.
