Fresh landslides occurred in the state capital on Thursday as well and three vehicles were damaged due to landslides in Dev Nagar area of Shimla city. Due to the rains during the last 24 hours in the state, the soil layer is loosening and as a result landslides are taking place. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in the lower areas of the state, Sirmaur, Solan, Shimla, Bilaspur, Una in the next 48 hours.
The local people have learned from the recent landslides and deaths in the state. Concerned about the parking of vehicles on the side of the road. Similar vehicles were parked here and after a landslide here in the early hours, stones collided with three cars. The cars were completely damaged by this. Local residents are in panic as the landslides continue and the monsoon has not returned from the state.
IMD Shimla director Surendra Paul told that the monsoon is around normal. In the next 48 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the low-lying areas of Sirmaur, Solan, Shimla, Bilaspur, Una. There will be no rain in the rest of the state. However, after 36-48 hours, the monsoon has reduced. After 6th, rain activities will increase again in the state.
