In a boost to the ongoing campagining, BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon today got big public support in Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26 on Monday.
Impressed by the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, two Congress leaders Ashok Kumar and Kamal Yadav, along with hundreds of people, joined the BJP under the leadership of Chandigarh BJP President Jatinder Pal Malhotra.
At the same time, the BJP has got big success due to Jitender Saini Bhanwara joining the party. It is noteworthy that Bhanwara had contested elections as independent candidate from this area and had received a lot of votes in that election.
These above mentioned leaders have attributed their joining the BJP to the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They said, “We got impressed by the works of PM Modi towards making New India. We also want to contribute our bit in this.”
BJP President Jatinder Pal Malhotra welcomed the leaders and others who joined the party by offering party’s scarf.
He said it is a matter of happiness that the attraction towards the BJP and country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is increasing among other political parties, that is why leaders and workers of many other political parties are breaking their ties and joining the BJP.
He appealed to the crowd gathered in the program organized by the area Municipal Corporation Councilor Dalip Sharma to make the victory of BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon certain and historic by making him victorious by more than 60 percent votes, so that Tandon can play an important role for the development of Chandigarh.
The President said this victory is also important because the amount of development work done by Narendra Modi in his last 10 years’ tenure was not done in any other government.
Modi himself has described these works as just a trailer, while the full picture is yet to be seen. He said the BJP government at the centre is necessary to give further impetus to India’s progress.
On this occasion, Congress leaders Ashok Kumar Kamal Yadav and Jitendra Saini Bhanwara, in their address, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the construction of Shri Ram Temple and the work done on issues like Article 370 and border security.
He said because of these actions done by Modi, his mind changed and he decided to cooperate with the BJP.
On this occasion, BJP State General Secretary Hukam Chand, Youth Wing State President Mahkaveer Sandhu, District President Satpal Verma, Yuva Morcha District President Aditya Sharma and many other leaders were present.
