Uttarakhand, 27 March 2024: Wednesday was the last day of nomination. Till Tuesday, 26 nominations had come in the state, the number of which increased to 63 on Wednesday. Of these, maximum 21 nominations have been made in Haridwar Lok Sabha seat.
On the last day of nomination for Lok Sabha elections, 37 candidates filed nominations in Uttarakhand. In this way, a total of 63 nominations have come for five Lok Sabha seats. Now the nomination papers will be scrutinized on Thursday and after the withdrawal of nominations till 30th, the final list of candidates will be released.

Apart from these, 13 nominations have been made in Garhwal seat, 1 in Tehri, 10 in Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar and 8 in AlmoraThere were 37 new nominations within four hours in a show of strength on Wednesday. However, there are many candidates who have filed two to three nominations in their own names.
Nomination papers will be scrutinized tomorrow
Joint Chief Electoral Officer Namami Bansal said that the nomination papers received on all five seats will be scrutinized on Thursday. If correct information is not available, nomination papers may be rejected. Nomination papers will be carefully scrutinized under CCTV surveillance. The final list of candidates will be released after the withdrawal of nominations on March 30.
