Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency NK Sharma cornered former MPs Preneet Kaur and Dharamveer Gandhi on the issue of devastation caused by Ghaggar river every year and said that during their tenure no efforts were made for a permanent solution to this problem. He said that the current Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Preneet Kaur has become MP from here four times on Congress ticket, yet she never made efforts for a permanent solution to the problem of Ghaggar River.
