Uttarakhand, 03 April 2024: In the last visit, 1.50 lakh pilgrims had reached Kedarnath by helicopter. Registration of passengers will be mandatory to go by Kedarnath Heli service in Chardham Yatra. Without registration, passengers will not be able to book online tickets for heli service.
This time during Chardham Yatra, there will be an increase of five percent in the fare of Kedarnath Heli service. The doors of Kedarnath Dham are opening on 10th May. Heli service will start operating from Sirsi, Fata and Guptkashi from this day itself.
In the last visit, more than 1.50 lakh pilgrims had reached Kedarnath Dham by helicopter. Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has entered into a three-year contract with aviation companies to operate the Kedarnath Heli service. According to the terms of the contract, this time the heli companies will increase the fare by five percent.
In the last travel season, heli services were operated from other companies including Pawan Hans, Cattral Aviation, Himalayan Heli, Aero Aviation. During the journey, there is a competition for tickets to go to Kedarnath by helicopter. Like last year, this time also tickets will be booked through IRCTC.
Travel registration mandatory for booking heli tickets
Registration of passengers will be mandatory to go by Kedarnath Heli service in Chardham Yatra. Without registration, passengers will not be able to book online tickets for heli service. Also, a person will be able to book a maximum of six seats at a time with his ID, while passengers traveling in a group can book 12 seats at a time. This time also heli tickets will be booked through IRCTC.
