Rishikesh: Today is the last day of river rafting in Rishikesh. Rafting will not be operated in Ganga from July 1. Rafting operations will remain closed in July and August. Rafting will be started again in Ganga from September 1.
The water level of Ganga increases after rain in mountainous areas. In view of the water level of the river, river rafting operations are stopped from Kaudiyala, Marine Drive, Shivpuri, Brahmpuri and Club House till June 30. Today, June 30, only one day is left for rafting lovers.
Khushal Singh Negi, Adventure Sports Officer of Ganga River Rafting Committee, said that from July 1, rafting operations in Ganga will be completely stopped. Rafting will be operated in Ganga only till June 30. Due to the rainy season, its operation will remain closed in July and August. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules.
