In the completion of seven years of the Bhartiya Janata Party government at the Center which is lead by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi , rather than celebrating it drastically the party decided to work in more than one lakh rural areas under the ‘Seva Hi Sangathan ‘ scheme on 30th May.

Under the leadership of Arun Sood all the office bearers of the party and all the functionaries of the cell level participated and provided the different services of Bharatiya Janata Party at 310 places in Chandigarh. Amid the pandemic, the party workers kept corona protocol in their minds and reached out to people in 4 to 5 people per group and provided different services . Fruits, biscuits, juices, dry ration, food, indigenous ghee, milk, lassi, herbs, Giloy, Ashwagandha, Basota, immunity boosters, sanitizers, chavanprash, zinc, vitamin C etc. were distributed.

Sanitation campaigns were also conducted among other services like downloading of oximiter app in mobiles , temperature testing , sanitation and encouraging people to get vaccinated as to do their part to make Chandigarh corona free.
Along with rural areas the party provided services in orphanages, old age homes, ‘snehalya’, homes for the mentally retarded, leprosy ashrams, ashrams for destitute people, slum colonies, EWS colonies.

In 310 services provided by the party, 28 were done with the participation of Arun Sood and were performed by him . Along with Arun Sood , organisation secretary Dinesh Kumar also took part in the service work . Sanitizers along with masks and fruits were distributed in Sanjay Colony . While Mayor Ravikant Sharma also came forward and participated in ward number 3’s cleanliness drive .

Under the supervision of State General Secretary , Ramveer Bhatti the services were carried out in 22 villages of the city and distributed desi ghee’ halva’, fruits, sanitizers, masks, and Chyawanprash were distributed. General Secretary Chandrashekhar helped in distributing ration under the DBT scheme.

The thoughtful programs of the villages were organised by district No. 5 and Kisan Morcha with the involvement of District no. 5’s President Naresh Panchal, Kisan Morcha President Didar Singh along with Dr. Hukam Chand, Bhajan Singh Madu, Balwinder Sharma, Mandeep Singh Palsora and Mamchand Rana .

One month’s dry ration was dispensed to all the washerman and sanitation workers of Sector 21 by former Mayor Asha Jaswal in district number 1 which was lead by District President Jatinder Malhotra.

District President Ravindra Pathania led the destrict no. 2 service program. Out of these, distribution of about 15000 tablets of Zinc, Vitamin C, and immunity boosters to the entire population in all the houses in Madrasi Colony of Sector 38 was prominent.

In District No.3 dispensary staff, nurses, sanitation workers and doctors serving covid patients in the dispensary of Sector 45 were distributed chavanprash, sanitizer, mask, dettol soap etc. Under the leadership of District President Rajendra Sharma .

Continuing the deed service works were done in District no. 4 led by District President Manish Bhasin . Of which, all the cleaners, helpers in sector 28 were distributed Chavanprash, sanitizer, biscuits, zinc, vitamin C, face cover, immunity boosters. PPE kits, sanitizers and face shields were also distributed to the workers of the cremation ground of the industrial area phase 1, where only covid patients are cremated.

Programs were organized by all the fronts . Yuva Morcha’ president Vijay Rana, ‘Mahila Morcha’ president Sunita Dhawan, ‘SC Morcha’ president Krishna Kumar, ‘Backward Class Morcha’ president Nathiram Mehra, ‘Minority Morcha’ president Amjad Chaudhary organized the programs on behalf of their fronts. State officials , all the councillors , departments and cells also organised services .

The day ended with Arun Sood thanking every worker for the success of events of the program . BJP workers have proved that every BJP worker considers the organisation to be a medium to serve in the true sense he said .
