Bareilly : Police of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh has arrested two people for allegedly gang-raping a 19-year-old woman. Six men allegedly gangraped a woman on May 31 when she had gone out with two friends.

Though, a FIR was filed by the woman on Saturday with the police due to society shame. Medical report of the woman has not yet arrived and on Monday, her statement will be recorded.

On Sunday, Vishal Patel and Anuj Patel both were arrested because they were identified as accused. Vishal Patel, 22, was arrested after a few rounds of exchange of fire and he was shot in his leg. He has been admitted to a hospital and also a country-made pistol was recovered from him. Anuj Patel, 23, was arrested during a combing operation and police is still in search of other 4 accused.

The woman who was gangraped, said she was riding on a scooty with two male friends and they took a break at a temple in the village. She said that the two accused started messing with her and beated one of her friend that he lost his senses. Somehow her other friend escaped.

Later, she was gangraped in the nearby fields. The accused left the place and warned her not to tell anybody about the incident otherwise she will have consequences of this. After returning home, she did not tell anybody about the incident but she was disturbed mentally due to which her elder sister questioned her what happened after which she told her family about the incident.

The victim and her family went to police station and filed a FIR where she even told the names of accused from which they were addressing each other on Saturday Evening.
