Uttarpradesh : In Muradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, a group of people has beaten up a Muslim guy who was involved in transporting and selling meat. The man leading this group was calling himself a ‘cow protector’. The UP Police has registered a case against those who were assaulted on the basis of the complaint of the victim’s brother.
A senior police officer of the area DSP toldthat Shakir was arrested, but he was not sent to jail, as the sections against him are bailable.
Manoj Thakur, who led the group of people who beat up Shakir, has not been arrested yet.
Moradabad Police Chief Prabhakar Chaudhary said in a statement, ‘We had found a video in which a meat seller is being beaten up. We have registered a case in that matter. There are five to six accused in this case, whose name has been written. We are searching for them and will arrest them soon. ‘
