Haridwar, 21 Dec 2023: A case of brutality has come to light with a minor boy who had come from Madhya Pradesh to Haridwar in Uttarakhand to visit Ganga Aarti.

The police are also stunned to know about the brutality that happened to the boy. In this case, the police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.

A case of a minor boy from Madhya Pradesh being held hostage, stripped half naked and beaten brutally has come to light in Harki Paidi area. On the complaint of an acquaintance of the victim teenager, the city Kotwali police has registered a case against a lodge owner and manager. Police say that further action is being taken.

A 17-year-old teenager from Simaria area of Madhya Pradesh had come to visit Haridwar. Kishore was staying in Shri Ram Lodge built at Subhash Ghat. It is alleged that lodge owner Jaya Aggarwal and her manager Sandeep alias Sonu took the boy hostage in the room, accusing him of stealing a mobile phone.

It is alleged that he was taken hostage and beaten brutally, after which his clothes were also removed.
Police reached the spot after getting information and freed the teenager. The boy informed the police about the entire incident. Kotwali in-charge Bhavna Kainthola said that the medical examination of the teenager has been done.

On the complaint of a young acquaintance, a case has been registered against the lodge owner and the manager under the Act related to minors including hostage-taking, assault, street altercation and threat of murder. Police is taking further action
