Today, 21st June observed as the seventh International Yoga Day. Every year, The citizens of the nation celebrates this day all around the world with pride and assurance of health and wealth.

However, Yoga is very important during the pandemic as we are all trying our best to maintain our health and increase immunity.

As per the sources, the day began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address at 6:30 today in the morning talking about the significance of Yoga during the pandemic. Along with that many politicians, celebrities has celebrated the day by performing yoga.

The Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty who is known as one of the fit personalities of the Film Industry. In an exclusive interview on the occasion of Yoga Day, she talked about the yoga exercises also how she stays positive all the time.

In addition to this, Shilpa said that not just physical, it is important to take care of your mental health. It is ok to feel depressed sometimes but everyone should work upon it. She said, “I seem cheerful all the time but this doesn’t mean that I do not feel low. This is because I release my tensions by doing yoga especially during the age of COVID when a lot of negative thoughts surround you.” She further says that a lot of studies have proven that yoga is beneficial for keeping coronavirus away.

Apart from her , Sara Ali Khan shared a picture in which she is seen doing Vrksasana (tree pose)and she wrote; “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self Happy International Yoga Day .
