The actress to judge a new reality show for which she starts shooting in May

Madhuri Dixit who was last seen on TV two years ago in So You Think You Can Dance, an Indian version of the American dance reality show by the same name, as a judge with choreographers Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis, is set for a comeback. She will judge a new dance reality show, Dance Deewane, and starts shooting in May. Colors is currently on the lookout for a choreographer and a director to join Madhuri on the judges’ panel.

A source reveals that the show is expected to air in June. Auditions to pick contestants kick off across the country on May 3. “The selected contestants will be divided into three categories — under-13, under-35, and 35 and above. The three best contestants in each category will compete for the winner’s title,” informs the source, adding that Madhuri’s team has already started work on her new look and designing her introductory performance, to be shot on a lavish scale.

It’s going to be a busy year for the actress who has just started Indra Kumar’s comedy, Total Dhamaal, in which she has been paired opposite Anil Kapoor. The film also features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Javed Jaffery. She will soon join the ensemble cast of Abhishek Varman’s period-drama, Kalank, which features Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. Madhuri stepped in for Sridevi after her untimely demise.

The actress has in the past also judged the couples’ dance reality show Nach Baliye, in its first and third seasons. She was on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa during season four, five, six and seven. As Mirror had earlier reported (July 31, 2017), the channel decided to give Jhalak…, that usually preceded Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss, a break and opted for new content.
