Congress-AAP alliance breaks in Delhi
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has decided to break away from the alliance with Congress in Delhi. Senior party leader Gopal Rai announced this after a meeting at CM Arvind Kejriwal’s house. He said that this alliance was for the Lok Sabha elections. Our party will fight the Delhi assembly elections alone.
Let us tell you that a meeting was called at CM Kejriwal’s residence today. In the meeting, the party’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections was reviewed. After the meeting, Gopal Rai addressed the press conference and said that we had decided to form an alliance with the Congress party in the Lok Sabha elections but we will fight the assembly elections alone. He further said that it was already decided that this alliance is till the Lok Sabha elections. We fought the Lok Sabha elections with honesty.
Gopal Rai said that we will win this battle together with the people of Delhi. AAP party will fight the elections with full strength. Let us tell you that AAP party fought the Lok Sabha elections in alliance with India Alliance. It is worth noting that AAP and Congress fought the Lok Sabha elections together in Delhi. Congress contested on 3 seats and AAP on 4 seats. However, all seven seats of Delhi went to BJP.
Earlier, during the Lok Sabha elections 2024, CM Kejriwal had said in an interview to a TV channel that we have neither had a permanent marriage nor a love marriage with the Congress. He said that we have joined the India Alliance to protect democracy and the Constitution. Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal is in jail in the Delhi liquor policy case. After getting interim bail from the Supreme Court, he campaigned for 21 days. After this, on the basis of the conditions of the court, he surrendered on June 2.
