After the results came out, on Wednesday, PM Narendra Modi started a tree plantation campaign in Buddha Jayanti Park on the occasion of World Environment Day. During this, he was wearing a special green jacket. Green color is a symbol of greenery. Green color is also associated with the environment. Today, by wearing a green jacket, PM Modi gave a special message to the people to be aware of the environment.
After the tree plantation campaign, PM Modi first met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and in the afternoon he went to meet President Draupadi Murmu and resigned from the post of PM. During this too he was wearing a green jacket. PM Modi also recommended dissolving the cabinet.
World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5. Environment means the entire natural environment in which we live. It includes all the living and non-living elements around us, such as air, water, soil, plants, animals and other living organisms. The components of the environment interact with each other to form an ecosystem.
The foundation of celebrating Environment Day was laid in 1972, when the United Nations celebrated the first Environment Day. Then it was announced to celebrate this day every year. The first environmental conference was celebrated on 5 June 1972, in which 119 countries participated.
