PRESS NOTE: HELPDESK FOR COVID AT DADUMAJRA INAUGURATED BY UNION HEALTH MINISTER Chandigarh March 21, 2021

The central government opened a Help Desk in front of the Dudummajra Dispensary to help people get rid of the pandemic. BJP, Chandigarh worked for this project to help the people of Chandigarh get rid of the pandemic with prompt vaccination. The campaign is being carried out across the country. Today it was launched by Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan who was accompanied by Dushyant Gautam, Incharge Party Affairs, Chandigarh, Narendra Raina, National Secretary, Arun Sood, State President, Rambir Bhatti, State General Secy and other party workers. Briefing the programme, state President Arun Sood said that through the help centre set up by the party people of the city will get much needed support. The local workers of the party are doing all the work of getting vaccination of the needy done. They are helping with registration of the elderly and bringing them from their homes. More than 50 people were vaccinated in today’s campaign. He said that it is a result of the hard work of the party workers that through the Sahayata Kendra, our elderly who are handicapped and who are not able to walk are being vaccinated. Some of them were brought on wheel chairs. It is the government of the illustrious Prime Minister of our country, Narendra Modi, who is always ready to protect the interests of the citizens of the country. Since the lockdown under the guidance of our party’s top leadership and our party’s national president on the call of the country’s prime minister, party workers have been engaged in social service day and night. Today they are linking people to the vaccination campaign. During today’s inaugural function, Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan inspected the working style very closely and expressed his satisfaction. State President Arun Sood, while briefing the Union minister, said that the Jan Jagran Abhiyan is being carried out by party workers in Chandigarh since last week. Today, in this help centre for vaccination, youth are registering the elderly on cowin application through laptops and providing them with certificate slips of registration. All facilities are being provided free of cost. People are doing their own vaccination by showing that slip at the health centre. People from this help centre are now registering more and more and the centre will continue to run. Trained workers have been given the responsibility for this. Training has also been imparted to them for performing this job. In addition, a waiting room has also been set up to facilitate the vaccinated people in the help centre. The Union Minister also interacted with the elderly who came to register on the occasion. The convener of the party’s medical cell, Prince Bhandula, District President Jitendra Malhotra, Rajendra Sharma, Manish Bhasin, Naresh Pangaat, Local Councillor Farmila, former Mayor Rajesh Kalia, mandal chairperson Rakesh Agarwal, party state functionaries, front, cell, corporator and hundreds of activists were present today. After the inauguration, the Union Health Minister also inspected the vaccination centre set up by the health department and, apart from those who came to vaccinate there, interacted with the doctors and staff of the health department and also encouraged them. He was accompanied by Dr. Amandeep, Director, Department of Health, Dr. Virendra Nagpal, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Paramjit Singh, S. M. O. Sheveta of Health Centre Sector 38 and others. In the meantime, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan was informed that the facility has also been introduced by the Department to conduct corona test. The Health Minister went to all the chambers and reviewed the work being done by the Department and congratulated the workers for the smooth functioning. Thereafter, health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan congratulated bjp Chandigarh State President Arun Sood and all his Chandigarh workers on the occasion and said that he was happy that all party workers were on a war footing in the campaign. The Bharatiya Janata Party is a political party and, at the same time, never lags behind to do all the work done in the social interest. It is possible that our party workers are walking in the footsteps of their top leaders. The party has taken the opportunity to serve the needy. The Modi government at the centre is also serving the country with public service as their sole motive. He said that Chandigarh is doing a noble job by serving the people through jan Jagran Abhiyan and now help centres by the BJP will intensify the pace to fight COVID.
