GOA: Schools To Reopen from October 18; For Classes 9 To 12

On Thursday, The State’s Director of Education Bhushan Savaikar issued a circular and as per the circular; the state government has decided to reopen schools for physical classes for Classes 9 to 12 from October 18 with COVID-19 guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Moreover, The circular stated that the schools may initially follow a hybrid mode of teaching, that is, online as well as offline classes; if required. In addition to this, Masks, temperature checks and sanitisation are mandatory at the entry gates of institutions, and even the staff should be checked before entry.

Additionally, As per the circular, school functions and assemblies should not be conducted, till further orders.

ODISHA: Schools To Reopen On October 21 For Classes 8 and 11

As the physical mode teaching has already been resumed in the state for classes 9 and 12. However, on witnessing the decline in the COVID-19 cases the government of the state has announced to resume the physical mode classes for the students of 8th and 9th standards from October 21.

As per the School and Mass Education Minister S R Dash; “The COVID situation has been improving in the state. We will resume classroom teaching for students of classes 8 and 11 from October 21. A notification will be issued soon”.

In addition to this he also added; No decision has been taken for reopening of schools for students from Class 1 to Class 7.
