Kashipur: The police arrested a young man who was smuggling intoxicating capsules from the medical store. Police recovered 60 leaves of the capsule from the possession of the accused. The accused has been challaned under the NDPS Act. Along with this, the police is also probing the role of the medical store.
On Monday, ASP Abhay Singh told in the SP office that under the leadership of Tanda Ujjain outpost in-charge Manoj Joshi and Bansfodan outpost in-charge Sunil Sutedi, checking was done in Tanda Ujjain area. Stopped a young man going by scooty. In the search of Scooty, 60 leaves of intoxicant capsules, total 1360 capsules were recovered. During interrogation, he told his name as Kulwant Singh resident of village Banskhedi police station Bajpur. The police arrested him.
He said that according to the accused, he was buying drug capsules from Kashipur’s medical store and taking them to Bajpur to sell them at high prices to drug addicts. The SP said that now the police will also investigate the role of the medical store selling drug capsules illegally.(HB)
